This was a very, very squiggly way of getting home from a work training session at Woods Division (23rd and Indiana), considering that two two-block walks plus the 22-Fillmore would take me home expeditiously. Lots of great views, plus visits to the Vermont Street squiggles (different from Lombard, and not so long), and the interesting building at SF General Hospital.
This hike was the fifth of a series of hikes in San Francisco to address a surprising absence in my local hiking...the total absence of the Hills of San Francisco from my peak list. San Francisco Peaks website. My current highest peak in San Francisco is Buena Vista Heights (above Haight Street) at 575 feet (11th highest overall). On this trip topped Potrero Hill (300'), Dolores Heights (216'), Liberty Hill (406'), Castro Hill (407'), Mount Olympus (570'), Buena Vista Heights (575'), and Corona Heights(510').
About 10 miles, 2000 feet of ascent.
The weather was cool and partly overcast.
